Carpet

Soft underfoot, quiet, and warm in a Michigan winter.

Carpet is still the most comfortable floor to stand on first thing in the morning, and the quietest one to have above another room. We install wall-to-wall carpet in single rooms, whole floors, and on stairs.

We carry four grades, Good, Better, Best, and Premium, so there's a choice for a spare room and a choice for the room everyone lives in. Your estimator brings samples and measures at the same visit.

Worth knowing before you order

Four grades to choose from

The grade mostly changes how dense the carpet is and how long it keeps its look. We'll tell you plainly where the cheaper grade is fine and where it isn't.

Old floor out, new floor in

We can rip up and haul away the carpet that's there now, and deal with whatever is under it, as part of the same job.

Seams planned before cutting

Where seams fall depends on the room's shape and the roll width. We lay that out at the measure so seams land away from doorways and main walking paths.

How the install goes

  1. 1

    In-home measure

An estimator walks the space, checks subfloor condition, and gives you a written number before anything is ordered.

  2. 2

    Material lead time

Most in-stock lines ship within a week. Special-order finishes can take three to four weeks — we'll tell you which category yours falls into up front.

  3. 3

    Install day(s)

Furniture gets moved by the crew, old flooring comes out, and the new floor goes down. Average timeline is on the specs list above.

  4. 4

    Final walk-through

Your crew lead walks the room with you before packing up, so anything that needs a second look gets caught the same day.
