Hardwood is the flooring people ask for by name, and it's usually the one they regret not choosing. We install both solid 3/4-inch planks (nailed down over a wood subfloor) and engineered hardwood, which handles humidity swings better and can go over concrete.
Every job starts with a moisture reading on your subfloor. If it comes back too high, we'll tell you before any wood gets ordered, not after the crew shows up with a truck full of it.
3/4-inch solid boards have enough wood above the tongue to be sanded and refinished two to three times over their life. Engineered planks with a thicker wear layer (3mm+) can usually take one refinish.
Wood sits in your house for 3 to 5 days before install so it adjusts to your home's humidity. Skip this step and you get gaps or cupping six months later — we don't skip it.
We run a calcium chloride or pin-meter test on concrete and wood subfloors before ordering material, included in every hardwood estimate at no extra charge.
An estimator walks the space, checks subfloor condition, and gives you a written number before anything is ordered.
Most in-stock lines ship within a week. Special-order finishes can take three to four weeks — we'll tell you which category yours falls into up front.
Furniture gets moved by the crew, old flooring comes out, and the new floor goes down. Average timeline is on the specs list above.
Your crew lead walks the room with you before packing up, so anything that needs a second look gets caught the same day.
